This is so much fun! Excellent camera, decent sized small solar panel, cute and large feeding bucket/plate area. I advise to make sure wires are covered or secured so curious squirrels do not get to them … one did try to chew or use to climb up. It is not extremely hard to assemble.. just needs to be placed higher for best views and in a well sun exposure area for the solar charge. (But wire length is good.. just watch out for squirrels!)

I love nature so the one day I got to use it the bravest birds were great. Then I had a problem in my development and was told I had to take down right away due to a ‘no feeding animals’ rule sadly. So please check with your neighbors and development first if you are in one.

Btw. For gardeners and nature lovers who have smart phones.. this is an IDEAL gift! When I move it is definitely being set up!!!

I bought one like this several months ago, and my dad loves it. I think it’d be a great idea to buy another one, and put it on the other side of the house. So, I did, and boy this is another great high-tech toy. Installation of the feeder was a snap, not difficult; the package included all hardware we need. Installation of the app is also not difficult.

First things first. If you’re having a hard time on connecting to the camera and accidentally installed the bird house already outside with the camera. You can remove the camera without it losing power. You are better off connecting the camera in the inside of your house next to your modem since the scanning qr code won’t work if you’re far away. When connected you can install the camera back to the bird house.

The best settings for not loosing signal is hd quality and detection settings low. That is what worked for me if you’re having issues with connectivity.

There’s some issues with the app if you want to look at notifications. It will get stuck on the 24:00 time and will not let you look at your old footage for alerts. Maybe with some future updates it will stop doing that. Solar charger is okay, make sure you put it on a sunny spot but so far on mine it’s pretty slow charging. It’s been two days since it’s fully charge so battery depletion is slow itself too. You might have to remove device and recharge it.

The bird house itself is pretty study and has a great material but the connectivity and camera can be iffy if you don’t mess with the settings. That was my experience with the bird house, I hope what I wrote can help with your experience.
